HERITAGE MATTERS

Land and buildings of historical significance may be heritage listed either under the local planning scheme or on the State Heritage Register. A heritage overlay may affect the property’s ability for change.

Fisher Planning can help address the Heritage matters with either the Local Authority or the State Government depending on the heritage listing. Construction or works requiring a permit for heritage listed properties include, but are not limited to:
  • Solar Energy Improvements
  • Fencing
  • Painting
  • Installation of a Pergola or Verandah
  • Inclusion of disabled access
  • Internal works if the heritage listing applies to the internal building structure
Example Projects:
Former Mildura Base Hospital (Victorian Heritage Register)

Ned Kelly Siege area—Dwelling – 6400 Old Mail Road, Ned’s Corner (Victorian Heritage Register)

Mildura Primary School and War Memorial, San Mateo Ave Mildura (Local Heritage and Victorian War Heritage Inventory)
